Pay at least HK$980 to see Eason Chan, then wait for permission to cheer. His newly announced Hong Kong recording sessions come with that instruction.
There will be 26 sessions at the Academy for Performing Arts. They run from December into February. He'll revisit albums including U87 and H3M, with stories behind the music.
Look, this asks quite a lot of an Eason fan. You recognise the song. You want to sing. That's usually how these evenings work. Here, your contribution would end up on the recording. So no singing along, clapping, cheering or talking during recording. Everyone gets to let it out when Chan or the organisers give permission. Even enthusiasm has a cue.
Phones must be switched off and sealed in special pouches. Buying a ticket gets you a seat inside an album-making session, complete with the responsibility to keep quiet.
Tickets will go through registration and a Cityline ballot. Details are still to come. The recordings will become an album, so fans who miss out will hear them too.
