After initially favouring the opposition, Israeli television exit polls now put Netanyahu’s camp and its rival at roughly 51 seats each, ten short of a governing majority. Arab lists are projected to win 17 or 18 seats between them, making coalition arithmetic central while the vote count continues.

EU economy officials are due in Beijing in the week of November 23 for talks aimed at persuading China to revalue its currency, according to SCMP’s sources. A further visit involving senior European Central Bank, Eurogroup and European Commission officials is being planned around the turn of the year, with no final date set.

GMO confirmed that company and customer data were published following the Onamae Desktop Cloud intrusion, although BleepingComputer reports that the threatened ransomware activation apparently did not occur. The company says payment information was not exposed, but warned that trading credentials and account details may have been compromised and urged customers to reset passwords and terminate active sessions.

Virginia Tech researchers fitted 35 monarch butterflies with tiny Bluetooth tags to trace their migration, including one detected in Mexico on October 17 after being tagged in Virginia in September.
