Corrections and updates

We correct material errors visibly, preserve the original record and explain what changed on the article. Updates that add useful detail are identified separately.

DeepSeek’s direct API price depends on when you use it

The original headline and article described a twelvefold DeepSeek price cut, based on a 20 October OpenRouter ledger observation of US$0.01 per million output tokens. That aggregator observation did not establish a change to DeepSeek’s direct pricing and was already superseded in our ledger before publication. We have withdrawn that claim and replaced the comparison with the provider’s current, dated pricing and its conditions.

Correction · 2026-10-24

Star Ferry fares rise on 25 January, with monthly passes held at HK$190

The original article omitted the effective date and fare amounts, leaving the impression that approved increases already affected this weekend’s outing. The new fares take effect on 25 January 2027. We have added the amounts and unchanged monthly-pass price from the government announcement, and removed the unrelated pollution discussion.

VeloCloud is under attack. Check the deployment and the version

We have replaced the general patch-priority discussion with the original vendor advisories’ affected deployments, vulnerability identifiers and fixed versions. We also removed the internal weekly vulnerability tally, which was not necessary to the article’s argument.
